Help! Betta Resting On Bottom Of Tank

•Treatment: This is not a contagious or fatal illness. If it isn’t congenital (aka a condition that he/she has had since birth), then it is caused by over feeding or feeding the wrong foods. Bettas will typically recover after a day or two of Epsom Salt treatments (1-2tsp/gal) and fasting. You can help prevent a reoccurrence by switching to a better pellet food, feeding less and offering a more varied diet. To make it easier for the betta to eat and breath, you can make the water shallower. You can offer him/her frozen daphnia (sold at Petsmart) as daphnia will help him/her pass stool. DO NOT FEED THEM PEAS.

she didnt eat the pea, i have some API aquarium salt, i will try a salt bath of that, i cant get her any specail type of food because my LFS is closed and im not in america so superstores dont sell fish stuff. how long should i leave her in the salt bath for?? (she is in a 10 litre bucket on my floor)

In my opinion the set up is just too small for all of them. They all need their own space which your tank just can't provide. There is a pecking-order amongst female Bettas, and the one sitting on the bottom of your tank is probably the most submissive one, the last in the line...

I could visualize one male Betta with 5 females in a 30 gallon long tank, with lots of plants to divide their own spaces. I think that would be an awesome tank!!! (but I don't think any eggs would make it, they'd all get eaten)
