Use some meds, i found that the Interpet Anti fungus and Finrot was the best for me :)
It may have gotten torn, or could be fin rot but i dowt it, but use some meds and it will heal.
My discus' fins were all better in 2 weeks

Thanks I have just treated with king British disease clear which covers damaged fins and fin rot so fingers crossed this will help!!

Well thats fine, just give it a couple weeks and they'll be all better :)

A ripped fin usually, in my experience, does not need medication. It happens regularly and my approach is to watch and if anything up my water changes. Fins can sometimes heal amazingly fast with no medication.
How many angels do you have and what is the size of the tank and what other tank inhabitants do you have? Angels are cichlids and will get into scuffles and fights and will from time to time damage fins. Water changes and good water management does a lot for these things.

I only have the one angel. Have recently added a rotkeil severum. Ther is occasional chasing between the two but nothing major. My tank is 260L. Other fish include neons, rosy barbs, rainbow fish, gourami and two plecos.

Correction I think it is a heroes efasciatus severum. I think there is a piccy of it in the general discussions area which I posted.

Here it is, just after a got it so still a little stressed. It is a lighter colour now with just one stripe at the back

in my experience an angels fin will rip due to aggression, a water change will help it heal more than any meds.
