Hi all I'm new to the forum. I've checked out a few other forums and this one seems to be the best one. Anyway I got a large adult Angelfish (3 1/2yrs) with an open sore just behind his eye. The sore is about 1/2 inch long and about 1/8 inch wide. The sore is red and all white in the middle. The white in the middle looks more like dead skin rather than cotton type growth. Also there looks to be more sores starting to protrude out of the skin, these ones are round and are also red with white in the middle.
Are these ulcers? Is there anything I can do?

My water parameters are all fine. The tank is a 72 gl (for specifics check profile).

I would appreciate any help, Thanxs

Thanks for the link Wilder. Columnaris? Looks like that can be bad
So should I treat the entire tank since this disease can(and my have) spread to my other fish.
Also what should I treat with? Is there something I can use that will not kill off my bacteria colonies?

Thank You for the help.

Maracyn one and two, good luck.
