Tank is fully cycled and we have been introducing fish over the last few weeks. All levels are good so I know I am not poisoning them.
This morning I noticed a tiny baby plattie and a few hours ago another one. We have transfered them to a net breeding trap in the main tank as our other smaller tank is still cycling. The Nitrates are really high at the moment.
Trouble is we don't know how long they have been in there. Guessing not long as we bought the angels yesterday and have been studying the tank like hawks.
But they seem too big to have popped out of one of our platties
Is it possible they have been there for some time? Is one of my platties still giving birth? Do they have a gap inbetween? How big are the fry normally and is there likely to be anymore?
We had a tough time catching the first little guy and thought if there had been anymore we have spotted them then. One of the platties has had a definate gravid patch for a couple of weeks but never really got big. The other two females, one is big but no patch and I guess the fry don't belong to the orange one as the fry is blue.
