Hi All

Quick question - my small golden severum that I now have paired off with my green has started to change colour.

When I got from the LFS it was a mottled yellow with a light stripe markings of a green and looked like she had rolled in lead.

Now shes turned a really bad grey colour really mottled - shes eating well
and her fins are healing fine from her first visit from the other fish in the tank.

But shes a yucky colour and just sits at the top corner of the tank by the filter sulking shes always looking down waiting for the greenie to come up and peck her and do the shimmy thing coz he wants to breed.

Thought that this was juvile colours and she would grow out of it but it seems like shes getting more and more ugly.

Help please

all water parameters fine all 0ppm

It sounds as if your severum needs time, either to recooperate or to grow up. Its not responding to the member of the opposite sex and it could be harmed or killed. It needs to be isolated until it has recovered, then try introducing them again.

actually both the sevs are juvies.

The green is about 6cm long and the yellow about 4-5cm long

They are both babies but have paired off - I do understand that sevs sulk
when they are placed in new enviroments etc - and I know that shes not sick because her fins are healing its just that terrible colour that shes become
shes almost as grey as this webpage
