Hi peoples

what fish and corals would anyone recomend on getting for a beginner open to any suggestions

Thanks

If you are talking about a saltwater tank then this is best put in the saltwater part of this forum. But My advise is clown fish are your best bet for fish. The tank raised oscalaris clown is quite hardy. As for corals, go for the soft corals like leather corals. Leather corals naturally live in tidal regions where water fluctuates so they are better able to handle the mistakes that we beginners make.

Another good fish is green chromis. They are recommended when first setting up a system.

Make sure to do extensive research before buying anything. I didn't and have a heck of time with my tank. Also have a plan for what you want out of this tank.

Also look at Donya's journals, BigTuna's and check out Tcamos's website link in his profile for Arizona Fish Keeping. I have found them immensely helpful. There is a section in the Journals section of this forum for Marine journals.

I also suggest starting a journal of your own that way you can get advise as you go through this endeavor.
