I have just had a look at my tank, and found my molly with NO tail fin! its gone completely!

She is just swimming at the top of my tank ATM I have placed her in my net so she cant go too far without stressing her out.

Over the past week I have been treating for white spot, but if its fin rot then the stuff should also killed that off

But the thing is she was ok last night everything was fine, what the hell has happened?

could have been fighting, whats the stocking list of your tank?

12 male guppies
2 female balloon mollies - one is the injured one
1 male balloon
2 femal mollies
2 male mollies
2 clown loach
2 cories
5 platties

White spot or ich is a parasite.

Fin rot is a bacteria.

Two different things.

You need to you and anti-bacteria like Marayn-Two or Tetracycline or a sulfa medication.

Not sure what's available to you in the UK.

Good luck.

It looks so pain full!

Well last week I was treating for white spot as I found a spec on my clown loach, so I would of though that would of killed any bacteria in the water as the medication says it cures both and more

Is she stuggling to swim wearing herself out.
If the tail completely gone she sound in a very bad way and won.t make it.
Finrot common on top of whitespot.
