Help! 2 Guppies Have Died And Not Sure Why

I came back from work this morning and one of my female guppies were dead. Looked like the tail possibly got caught in the filter inlet. (I have a Juwel Rio 125l tank). I didn't think anything of this.

When I got up this afternoon the same thing happened to a male guppy (big bad barry) my daughter was very upset. He was in the same position as the last guppy.

I think the tail got caught but I am not sure. Has anybody had anything like this happen to them?

Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening in the future? I am slightly worried as I am not sure what I am going to find when I come home in the morning.

I think it's more likely they died and were sucked towards the filter inlet.

I agree with soybean; it is very, very rare for a normal, healthy fish to get trapped in a filter.

Get your water tested and do some large water changes with warm, dechlorinated water; that should always be your first action if you have sick or dead fish.
