40g should do it, but those fish shouldnt be togeather, yellow labs are African and Convicts are american there water needs are differnt.

Nope...they're from Central America.To be sure,I checked the fish index here and also did a Google search.Now...this is only a suggestion,but it's a good one.If you're looking for basic info on fish care,don't title your post with HELP in all caps or use a bunch of exclamation points.That makes it sound like a big emergency when it's really not.Instead,try including something in the post title that indicates the type of info you want.That way,the people who know will be sure to look and respond.And then when you actually do have an emergency you'll be able to yell for help and get a response without people assuming it's just another basic info question.

besides having different water requirements, they both have different dietary requirements that can cause problems for the other. another factor to consider when choosing tankmates.

also there is a good possibility that you may get a pair of cons. breeding cons are too aggressive to be kept with labs.
