Hi! My name is Lenina. I found this forum last night and found a lot of good information - some I wish I had earlier, but oh well 
.
I am an absolute beginner. We have a 26 gal. bowfront. None of the books I read said anything about fishless cycling, so we now have 2 dwarf gouramis. I am going to start with frequent partial water changes and hope that reduces the stress
. I'm also going to get a couple of plants today to help out. I really didn't want to start with plants right now, but I really like my little guys and feel terrible that I did this to them in my ignorance.
Let's see - dh and I also have two incredibly fat labs (dogs, not fish), a 4 year old son and a brand new baby human debuting this summer.
