Hi

I just got a 20 u.s. gallon aquarium and just added some fish to it. I started off with 4 guppies and later added 4 other guppies (4 male, 4 female) and 2 gouramis (bleu and pearl). I also have a snail in there caus ei think they look cool ;)

Hi Welcome to the forum :D

IMHO it would be good to add some more female guppies next otherwise your current four may get stressed. I may be wrong (others will say if I am) but you should keep a 3/1 ratio of female/male guppies. You will soon see that male guppies do nothing but chase females hehe.

:D hi and welcome to the forum. agree with everyone else, more female guppies. please have a good look around and dont be afraid to ask questions. thats why were all here. good luck.

I was actually planning on getting some kind of shark, maybe 3 or 4 to crowd the bottom part of the tank.

Will they get along well with the guppies?

Note, i found the pearl gourami dead tonight. The blue seems good but still hasn't eaten a bite since i put him in the tank either...

With your size tank i would go for corys for the bottom feeders, cory julii or peppered corys. Your tank is not big enough for most sharks and Deff not big enough for clown loaches.
