Hi everyone!
I'm completely new to fishkeeping and have stumbled upon it more than anything. Without going in to detail my wife bought a tank some time ago (either earlier this year or last) under the proviso that she would do all the maintenance. We have 2 young kids (one nearly 4, the other just turned 2) who love watching fish so we thought we'd get this for them.
Due to circumstances beyond my control I have now been left with maintenance of the tank. It's in a bad way, not a lot of care has been put in to it. We do have 5 fish still alive (amazingly) and I want to sort it all out and have not only a great setup for the kids to enjoy, but also a nice environment for the fish in it. Anyway, I'm off to post a beginners thread as I really do have no idea what I'm doing
