Hi Everyone,
I just found this forum today and it looks like it has a wealth of information. I look forward to learning more about freshwater aquariums and keeping healthy fish.
I have had ten gallon aquariums in the past. I always had good luck with them.
I got a 55 gallon aquarium over this last weekend. I had hoped to get a large one, and I am very excited. I had heard mixed information as to whether I should let it sit for a while before adding fish or not to. Most people said not to wait so I didn't, although from what I understand now I should have.
There is a picture of my tank. I have some live plants and I hope they survive as I am really bad luck with any and all plants.
Right now I have a bala shark, two black mollies, five flame tetras, and a mystery snail that I'm pretty sure is an apple snail. Oh, and two ghost shrimp. I hope to add some more fish including black skirted tetras, neon tetras and some swordtails.
Thanks for reading my intro and I look forward to learning about freshwater aquariums.
