Currently have 1 Angelfish, 2 Chocolate brown loaches, 2 zebra stripe catfish and a silver catfish (but cant remember the name!). Thats all at the moment, I have a Jewel 125 litre tank and just replaced all the filters, lights, pump etc to start fresh. Looking for some new fish that will go well but not sure what species to go for maybe cherry barbs or guaramis. What would you suggest for someone who has just started?

It really depends on personal taste. German blue rams and Bolivian rams seem to be very popular along with kribs.
The key is to research, find what you like and then come back here and ask would they be compatable.

There's so many fish to choose from.

The main tank currently has no fish in at the moment due to a new filter and pump being broken in. As a footnote the silver catfish i have is a pictus catfish.

List of fish are:

1 Angelfish,
2 Chocolate brown loaches,
2 Platydoras costatus catfish,
1 Pictus Catfish

Maybe thinking about getting 6 Cherry barbs, and around 8 tetra neons
The tank is a Jewel 125 Litre tank with the BioFlow filter

So an update:

Decided on getting another couple of plants and the following fish over the course of a few weeks.

10 Celestial Pearl Danios
10 Longfin Metallic Rosy Barbs

I will see how the tank looks after a couple of months to see how the fish are together then will get maybe 5 - 10 tetra neons also.

Nice looking Koi Angel! I really like the black pattern on it. I'm partial to black angels myself. If you are really set on getting neons, make sure to get the biggest ones you can. Angels love to snack on neons.

Decided against the tatras to be honest. I purchased 4 pearl and 4 zebra danios today they are currently all between half an inch and some are about an inch.

Welcome. I'm new here too. I have started with just a small tank but as soon as I feel I have some idea what um doing I may get a much bigger one. Especially now I have seen pictures of your tank. Lovely. I definatly got the bug. Fish don't answer back, give you attitude but are so calming and beautiful.
