Hi,

I've just joined the forum today so thought I would say a quick hello to everyone.

I've been keeping fish for a few years, started with a goldfish in a bowl and eventually moved up to a 2ft tropical tank but I still consider myself relatively new and not very adventurous when it comes to the choice of fish - mainly tetras, danios etc.

My current tank is about 13 gallons and I've got 2 Hatchet Fish, 5 Red Eye Tetra, 2 Black Widow Tetra, 2 Glowlight Tetra, 1 Pearl Danio and 3 Zebra Danio. I know that seems a lot for the size of tank I have but I've had them all for about 6 months now with no problems or losses and they all look healthy and feed well so I must be doing something right!

hello and welcome. some might say my tank is heavily stocked as well, but i do bi-weekly water changes and have two filters running to make sure it can keep up with the bio load. hope you find some usefull info on here.

Thank you all for the very warm welcome. I am enjoying reading the different topics on the forum (it's rather addictive!) and learning a lot too I hope
One thing I have found out from here is that my zebra danios (of which I have three) are actually leopard danios!! The pet shop sold them to me advertised as zebra danios and not having had any more I didn't know the difference - thought maybe they were juveniles and the spots would develop into stripes
