Hi there from perth australia... just want to say hello before posting a question on the board!

I have been keeping lake malawi cichlids for about 4 years now, have about 20 in the 4ft tank.. until most of them are dying or have died over the last 4 days due to ich. I have been trying every trick in the book to no avail (this appears to be a particularly virulent strain). It's heartbreaking but I am still trying to keep them alive. I'll see what happens..

Sorry to hear about your fish. Have you tried turning the temperature up? Copper based meds?

Sorry to read about your fish, trying raising up the temperature to about 82F degrees. Raising the temp helps get rid of ich often.

hello and yes rasing ur temp high to 82f will get rid of the ich in some occassions.
