Hi there, I am new to the forum and pretty new to fish, I have a small aquarium, an demon angel fish ( whom I adore ) that has made it hard to intro anything new but is outgrowing his tank... I am thinking about getting a new larger tank and am worried about the transition. I have too many fish in this tank now that they are maturing... I also need help id'ing some of the fish as they were bought as a gift for me when I set up the tank, I lost a lot of fish from sheer ignorance in the early stage of this and I need help to not lose any when I make the switch..

:hi: to the forum!!
first of all, yes the angel will need a larger tank.
What size is your current tank, and which fish do you have in it?

Hi its 20 gallon?, (24 long 12 wide and 16 tall) I have one Angel, 2??, 4 small fish, sadly not sure of them either, 2 tinfoil barbs and a type of catfish. I am searching different sites to see if I can id the fish I am not sure of... Is there a place I could post pictures?

Hello and :hi:!! :fish: :fish:

:band: Nice to have another member willing to learn and give advice here eventually!!

You can post your pictures here if you would like help getting them identified. Or you can post further down in theMember's Aquariums and Fish Pictures .

Hello and welcome to the forum. :hi:

As mentioned, post photos of you fish and someone will ID them for you. Changing a tank over isn't hard. When you're ready, just start a new thread and people will walk you through it.

Thanks, I wil post here... I know I have green in my tank, am researching best way to deal with this, I have been scared to do anything, as my fish are doing well (I think.. I lost so many at first and have not lost one in ages..) and I am terrified of upsetting or killing them...

I hate to admit this, but I consider myself a hobby photographer... well, taking pics of fish is a new challenge... and these quite frankly are horrid... hopefully you can still see them well enough to id them... oh, and one of Angie just because I am proud of him... lol

nice fish and gecko :)
the catfish looks like an oto, the last fish looks like a columbian tetra but I'm not sure.
