Hello

No, no. That's not an intro... do it again!

And as for your name, it's called a planted tropical community tank. :p

hmmm.
a box of rain will ease the pain
i am not a shrimp. i am a king prawn!
life is a waterfall; we're one in the river and one again after the fall.
my name is mike and i am a fishaholic
the place i saw was far beneath the surface of the sea
my sight was poor but i was sure the sirens sang this song for me
they dance above me as i sink
i see them through a crystal haze
and hear the sweet sound bouncin round
the never ending coral maze.
what do you mean its just sand?

okay seriously.
i have been keeping fish for about 6 years.
my thirty gallon tank was a planted tank when i bought it from a friend, and i changed it to a cichlid tank shortly after the jewel that i bought ate everything else in it. yes that was when i didnt know any better. since then i have had a cichlid tank. not too long ago, i recovered my childhood ten gallon from my fathers garage, and stocked it with some zebra danios, and black neons. i had a pair of killies in there, but the female went carpet surfing(uncovered tank- it's older than me and the rim on the inside is broken) soon to be followed by her man. since then i have wanted to get these fish in the thirty(covered), and the cichlids in something bigger. when i got a 55 for christmas, it was cichlid city in there, leaving me with an empty 30. vacations and work made it impossible to get to till now, and so i am cycling as of today. there it is. the whole shebang. i have had great luck on forums of this kind for my other tank, and look forward to a similar experience here. thanks.
