Hello all,
I'm Jess, I live in the GTA/Ontario/Canada, 23 & have had fish since I was very young (I think 4).
I currently have a midget Jack Dempsey, names Jack. He is 5yrs old, grew up in 160gal pond & just didn't grow at all (hes about 6 inches long). So I put him in a 55gal & he was doing well, except he hated the space. I put him into a 30gal tank & WOW he opened right up. He now begs for food, nibbles on my finger, greets me & stairs at me ALL day long hehe
I also have 1 heck of an AGRO Red Devil, named Mango !! He's 4yrs old & I cannot put my hands near the water. When he was smaller I kept him in a 30gal & he attacked the glass cover & broke it!! he split his jaw open & I had 1 heck of a time trying to get the glass out & not get bitten. The glass ended up staying there for a few months, as I had NO way to get it.. He shreded 2 nets in the process
I ended up getting a pail & trapping him against the side of the tank with it 
Then I put him in the 55gal & now hes about a foot long of pure evil!! I had to put the tank ontop of cinder blocks as he'll charge the front of the tank trying to kill me or invisible people & shake the heck out of the tank. I was sooo scared it was going to tip the tank over. The tank still shakes fairly baddly on the cinders, but has no chance of tipping now.. I finally got him to stop attacking the glass covers & now I have a nice glass cover & he can no longer splash water 10 feet across the room YAY!!
I have 1 non-fish. Axle is a 25pound Common Snapping Turtle. He'll be 7yrs old this summer & is the biggest baby on earth. He loves going for walks, chin & beak rubs, & nose kisses
Jack, hes such a little cuttie! My bond with him is so great cause I found him stiff on the floor & my ex did everything he could to revive him. He started breathing all of a sudden & I think Jack new. Every since that day, he's been my special boy.
