Hello. My name is nick and I found your board because the one I was at just didn't have any traffic.

I have been into the hobby for about a year now. I have an overstocked, heavily planted 29 gallon community tank. When I first started I had some bad advice from LFS's and also made some bad choices on my own. I have moved from fish haver to fishkeeper but I don't want to get rid of any of my fish. They have become like my children. I know that I am overstocked so I go to great lengths keep my fish healthy and happy. I also know that someday I will either have to find a new home for a few of my fish or get them a larger tank. I will probably opt for the larger tank. There are a few fish that I would love to have that I do not, but I can't get any more at this time.

I currently have a 29G tank with a lot of plants and a lot of rocks that form caves.
The current inhabitants are:

2 Iridescent sharks - I know that I will have to do something with these
3 Clown Loaches - My absolute favorites
6 Tiger Barbs
1 African Butterfly
2 Medium sized Angels
1 Swordtail (used to be 2)
1 Opaline Guarami
1 Three Spot Guarami
1 Chocolate Albino Plec
2 Kuhli Loaches
1 Peacock Eel - I rarely see this guy.

As bad as that sounds my fish are well cared for and very happy. I hate to give any back to the LFS that encouraged me to make these mistakes in the first place.

This tank also contained 2 Green Spotted Puffers up until about a week ago, but they were so overly aggressive that I had to find them a new home.

If I had any more room the fishes that I would like to have the most would be about 10-12 neons, but at this point that is not even an option.

I have a few questions so I will post those in the main forum.

:hi:

Do you have any problem keeping your angels with tiger barbs? Do they nip your angels?

:)

I also had some bad advice similar to this from pets unlimited... the local chain of pet stores. They all seem to know what they are doing, so did this one girl but she gave me very bad advice and now i am overstocked and in trouble.. costing me money (which i am making sure doesnt go to that petstore:p) but i will solve it in the end and all of my sharks will be happy:p
