Fish Fanatic
Hello. My name is nick and I found your board because the one I was at just didn't have any traffic.
I have been into the hobby for about a year now. I have an overstocked, heavily planted 29 gallon community tank. When I first started I had some bad advice from LFS's and also made some bad choices on my own. I have moved from fish haver to fishkeeper but I don't want to get rid of any of my fish. They have become like my children. I know that I am overstocked so I go to great lengths keep my fish healthy and happy. I also know that someday I will either have to find a new home for a few of my fish or get them a larger tank. I will probably opt for the larger tank. There are a few fish that I would love to have that I do not, but I can't get any more at this time.
I currently have a 29G tank with a lot of plants and a lot of rocks that form caves.
The current inhabitants are:
2 Iridescent sharks - I know that I will have to do something with these
3 Clown Loaches - My absolute favorites
6 Tiger Barbs
1 African Butterfly
2 Medium sized Angels
1 Swordtail (used to be 2)
1 Opaline Guarami
1 Three Spot Guarami
1 Chocolate Albino Plec
2 Kuhli Loaches
1 Peacock Eel - I rarely see this guy.
As bad as that sounds my fish are well cared for and very happy. I hate to give any back to the LFS that encouraged me to make these mistakes in the first place.
This tank also contained 2 Green Spotted Puffers up until about a week ago, but they were so overly aggressive that I had to find them a new home.
If I had any more room the fishes that I would like to have the most would be about 10-12 neons, but at this point that is not even an option.
I have a few questions so I will post those in the main forum.
