Hello New And Needing A Bit Of Help!

Hello all
I am new here and am hoping someone can give me some simple advice!!
I am off on holiday tomorrow and just realised I haven't left my fish alone before SO do I turn off the main light or leave it on? which is more stressful? I normally turn it off at night as they have ultra voilet night lights! yes and I read them a story )
Please help as I am off tomorrow

get your self off to the diy shop tomorrow and get a timer for the socket, it will turn the light on and off for the time you set it...

also get an electric feeder so the fish still get fed

Yes Thank you for that but as I said I am off tomorrow. THe food is sorted out and the question was about the light staying on. Do some people turn their lights on and off or do some of you leave them on constantly?

i left mine off when i went for a week then came back to find baby plecs every where

As long as the fish have some natural light they will be fine.My light goes off at bedtime and is turned on when I get home from work
Lights are mainly for our benefit.If you have plants then they may suffer from lack of light depending on the plants and you may come back to a bit of algae.As long as your fiter and heater are on I wouldnt worry about the lights.
