Thank you....marines are very easy with the right equipment.... Expensive hobby tho :)

Welcome to the forum! I would love to get into the marine side sometime. Eventually my husband and I are going to move over to the salty side, but he is military and we are not quaranteed stability, so I would rather wait till we know we wont be moving to do salkwater. We saw the cutest little saltwater tanks at the lfs, probably no bigger that 29g and my husband wants that as a starter.

So what kind of tropical fish you looking into?

Hiya, I am starting with small fish till i know what I am doing :) Above is my Marine tank

That's funny, me and my husband have taken the plunge into the marine world even though we have already have a small freshwater tank. We've just bought the 30gal tank with it's a glass cover for now but we're still researching the best sources as it's very expensive, luckily there are a few shops here.

So, do you have any equipment so far for the freshwater tank? What's your plan as of the size and type of fish, that will somewhat dictate the decorations, etc.

Oh, and welcome aboard...there is a lot of experience found in this forum and they are very helpful.

Marine fish are fasicinating, especially the life forms that appear when all the lights are out :)
I am starting up with a tank 18" depth x 48" wide and 31" high...approx 489 ltrs...and I am using a Tetratec EX1200 for filtration.....thats as far as i got so far.....
