Hello,

I'm Scott and I'm new to the forum. I heard about this great forum as I believe the owner is the brother of a member of www.seatcupra.net of which I am a member.

I've been keeping freshwater fish for a couple of years now, and still class myself as a beginner although I've learnt a lot, I still have a lot to learn I'm sure.

I've been reading these forums for a couple of months and some of the advice came in useful when I decided as a last resort to tackle a major algie problem to take the fish out and start again. Thanks to the advice on here and me taking my time with the process the fish have never been happier - and none of them got ill during the changeover process. B)

I am now using RO water as I think the tap water (even though treated) was still causing high nitrite levels. All is still well with the tank after 1 month and I am giving it all the attention it requires on a regular basis.

Some pictures below:

Hi Scott and :hi: to the forum!

You have a beautiful tank! Nice clear pictures too!
Thanks Sasha.

These are some of the few good ones out of all the ones I took. The majority of them showed blurry fish as the little blighters wouldn't sit still to have their photographs taken!

Cheers,

Scott

:hi:

Hiya Scott and welcome to the forums :)

That's a very nice kissing gourami picture. I never could get a decent one of mine!
Thanks. They were quite difficult to get a decent shot of. When they aren't hiding they are usually kissing each other

Would take some pics of mine, but worried the flash would scare them. Would the pics come out without flash? and should room lights be off to cut down on glare? I would experiment myself but dont want to stress the fish if i dont have to. ummm underwater camera, thats a gadget i would love hehe.

I didn't use a flash to take these. Some were taken with the room light on, some with the room in darkness. Just have to make sure the camera is fixed to get a nice steady shot.

And ask the fish nicely to pose for you. ;)
