Hey everyone -
I'm definitely not new to forums, or to fish keeping. I'm going to keep this short because I came looking for help, and I know better than to do that in the welcome forum.
About me - I'm a full time working mom of a 2 year old daughter. I hate my job with a fiery passion, and have lots of hobbies to keep my mind off my work. I love reading, Rockstars, and am addicted to Farmville. I also have a home based business making crafts (usually blankets) because I don't know how to relax. And as the name suggests, I love Swordtails.
I've been keeping fish for over 20 years. Started with guppies, then played a little here and there. During our before-children time, my husband and I got into bichirs. At one point we had 11 fish tanks, over 60 bichirs (all with individual names) and owned all variations from the common Senegalus to Bichir Bichir and Ansorgii. When the baby came, the fish room turned into a nursery, and our collection is now only a Koliba, 3 young Endlis, and a Lapradei. I bought some Swords last year with the idea of making my own feeder fish, but then got entranced by them. We still have our monsters, but now we have 3 Swordtail tanks, plus about a half dozen itty bitty tanks I keep newborn fry in while they gain strength.
I'm off to write a thread asking for help with Painted Swords, and I'm hoping I don't find any pictures of beautiful, macho, massive Endlicheris to tempt me into going back into monster fish - Swords are so much cheaper!
