Hello everyone, I am very new, I live in NB, Canada I am so glad that I found a forum that has interest in ACF as I have ahd them for about a year now, I have my big male, his name is Jason, his brother just past away earlier this year and his Name was Freddie, so I divided the tank with a tank divider and bought a few froglets this week so once they are grown enough..I will open the gate as they say...they are so cute, I cannot name them yet as I can't tell what sex they are but I am hoping one is a female....
I not sure if i should be concerned or not but Jason is acting a bit stangely the last four nights, I am sure it's nothing to worry about but I am noticing though that when he is floating on the top relaxing he will alway tip his left just a bit and when he is submerged it seems that that leg want to float, he can move it as when he swims around he uses it to swim but it only when he is resting and he has not be wanting to eat the last couple nights, I fee him live crickets and usually he will grab and go...so should I be worried? can someone shed some light?
Freddy my other ACF that died a few months back well he was born with a tumour underneath his flipper and it started to grow and there was nothing that we could do...I called a vet but they said that sometimes they can be born with a tumour and live there whole lives like a normal ACF but they can start growing at anytime and if they do, there is just nothing that can be done...I miss him so much he was such a clown...
So I just don't want to lose Jason too.....
I hope that everyone has a great weekend and I will check back in soon...
