Hello! & Help identify a fish?

Hellonew to the site & fishes in general, been into the hobby for like 2 months. i’ve got a 60” wide bottom dweller tank with 8 juli corys, vampire pleco, albino rainbow shark, a hillstream loach(maybe more to come) & a super laid back betta!

I swung by to see if anyone could help me identify some fish i’d seen on youtube, they were in the background of a fish being highlighted

my friend seems to think they’re tetras of a sort. but maybe of a bigger variety, were both stumped. they seem so elegant with their white bodys and colored fins. which look to have various colors such as red, yellow, and purple!

The fish in the two photos are dwarf rainbowfish, Melanotaenia praecox. The bodies are actually a pale metallic blue. Males have red fins, females have orange-yellow fins.

Yeah the ones i see on lfs under blue light are more vibrant
