Hey everyone!! So I've had tanks before but I have quickly learned from reading on here that I was just really lucky I didn't kill my fish all the time. :) I have a 10 gal rectangle and a 36 gal bowfront. The 10 gal I've had for a while but I left sitting empty for a while. Actually that tank is how I stumbled across this site and I'm so very glad I did. I'm working on getting pictures of my tanks but it's going to be a bit. I'm still cycling the 36 gal. Currently my inventory (in various tanks) includes 1 rainbow shark, 2 dalmatian mollies, 3 hatchetfish, 2 silver dollars, and 2 fancy guppies. I'm planning on putting the shark, mollies, and guppies in the 36 gal along with one more molly, at least one more guppy, some neon green rasboras (if I can find them), some harlequin rasboras, and one or two honey gouramis.

Okay so I finally was able to get some decent pictures of my tanks.

Hello,
welcomeani.gif
 to the forum.
Those are nice looking tanks there.
The Hatchetfish like to be in bigger groups than just three as they're schooling fish. If you want some more info on the Hatchet's then you should check this out:

The sharks fine.
The mollies are fine.
You may want to get some more silver dollars which would make them more happy although 2 is alright just not preferable.
And also the guppies are fine.

I would put the Hatchetfish in the 36 gallon and get some more of them.
At the moment (depending on how many fish of each species you want) your 36 gall is looking like it will be over stocked as most of those fish grow quite big.

Try to think of the one inch of adult fish per US gallon. Don't rely on this rule as it is not completely true but it is good to use as a starting point. :)

Hiya .

I never usually say hello to anybody lol but thought I should be more active here and not many others said hi .

Well I don't know much about advice but does your rainbow shark get on ok with the others ?

I was looking at getting one but decided it was probably too territorial or aggressive for my Harlequins and sparkling gouramis

Actually my shark recently passed away but prior to that they got along just fine. He would swim around with the harlequins and didn't seem to have issues with anyone. I'm not sure what's going on but I'm working on it.
