Just a quick note to say Hi! We are just starting back into an aquarium after not having one for 18-20 years. Seems like there have been a lot of advances made and a better understanding of the aquarium eco-system. Or maybe I am just doing more research this time instead of dumping fish into an aquarium 10 minutes after filling it!
Anyway, we are in the Tampa bay area of FL. We got our daughters a betta a few weeks ago and decided it would be nice to get back into having fish. We also have 4 cats and 2 dogs. A funny story is that I purchased our tank off eBay from a local seller. The day I went to pick it up, I took my daughters with me and on the way back we stopped by Petsmart to just check out supplies. Well they were having a dog adoption fair and we ended up adopting a young dog who was the spitting image of one we lost 2 years ago to old age. I joked with my wife that I went out for an aquarium and cam back with a dog! Good thing I did not go out for something larger, like a TV or a car, I would have come back with a house!
