Hi, My name is Roy. Just back to fish keeping after an abscence of 21 years.
Amazed at the new products available. I have a Rio 125 aquarium and have retained the internal filter system. Where I used to struggle to keep any plants alive with ugfs in my old systems I now have fantastic growth and have grown new plants from cuttings from the tops. My system has been set up for 8weeks and all parameters are fine. I have 2 moonlight gouramies, 5 neons,3glowlights, 2 beacons and 3 corydorous.
Due to the heavy palnt growth my fish appear to be really happy. The neons are absolutely gleaming with colour. The Gouramies have grown. The beacons, glowlights and neons seem to be going through spawning. The 2 albino corys use the Cabomba as hammocks, when they are fed up with eating or riding the waves from the filter and the speckled cory has mastered the art of swimming upside down to ensure that he/she gets food at the top. Great to be back.
