Hello all,

I'm new to fishkeeping and need lots of support and advice. I've always wanted an aquarium and have finally gained the means to setup properly. I've invested in a jewel rio 125l tank with natural gravel and river cobbles and am just embarking on the tropical fishkeeping journey so apologies for any daft questions.

Hello - welcome to the forum, I am from Draycott in Derby so I know some decent local fish shops - let me know if you need any help

Thanks, so far I've been to brookfields, world of water and the one at Bardills island. Are there any others you wioould recommend.

Bardills is pretty good, I get most of my stuff from there. Behind bardills is Japanese water gardens - they stock most bread and butter fish and aren't too expensive. Maidenhead aquatics at trowell is excellent but a bit on the expensive side. If you can get to pinxton then Wharf Aquatics is the best in the East Midlands.
