Hi!
Just thought I'd introduce myself, I'm Laura, and I'm a complete n00b at keeping tropical fish. I, of course have kept my fair share of goldfish as a kid, but have just now developed an interest in tropicals. I joined this forum in hopes of advice and tips on looking after my fishies.
I currently have a 34L tank with 6 fish:
1 Siamese Fighting Fish (Betta splendens)
2 Clown Loaches (Chromobotia macracanthus)
and 3 Albino Catfish (Corydoras aeneus)
I'd love to hear from anyone who wants to talk to me, give me some advice, whatever.
Thanks in advance,
Laura

Hi Laura,
I think we all start with goldfish, my first one was from the fun fair as a boy and that really got me hooked, if you'll pardon the pun. I have family in Aus' and think it's a great place to be. I bet you can get some great fish there too so i shall look forward to your posts.

Hello Im also from Australia hope it is Australia you are from and not Austria as both can be shortened down to Aus hope ya like it here Im rather new myself but this is the first post I've been able to make in over a week trying to post on the show us your tank but its not working for me.

Anyway enjoy ya fish I love siamese fighters I seen a couple I want to buy later on they are so nice and the colours of some of them wow.....

:hi: to the forum.
Just thought I'd mention that your clown loaches should be in a bigger tank, at least 55 gallons as far as I know. They also like to be in groups of three or more and grow to about 12". If you can it might be an idea to move the loaches to another tank. Your fighter should be ok where he is with your cories. I keep one of mine with a couple of ottos and he's fine with them.
Hope this info helps. ;)

Thanks for the advice, I am aware that clown loaches can grow quite large, and I'm planning to take them back to the fishy store where I got them when they grow too big.

And to trisha76 - yes I am from Australia - not Austria :good:
