Hello!

My name is Sadie, i live in the UK (Northants) and im 18. I just decided that i want to keep tropical fish (freshwater) after my parents suggested i took up a more "soothing" hobby.

I'm in the process of researching before i buy a tank and fish, but i hope to get a tank in the next couple of weeks so i can start preparing for some fish!

Welcome Sadie. There are a lot of very knowledgable people here to help you if you have a problem. I also prefer this forum because it is so active. It generally doesn't take long to get an answer when you have a problem. I would suggest you go the the FAQ pinned topic in the beginners section and read those articles. They will answer a lot of the questions you might have. Good luck.
