HI there, I am in the same boat with having only had tanks for 11 months! I do have 5 tanks now and just got a 370L. I am tyring to decided what to put in it, the most fun part....I have a large fw angelfish I want to put in it...what else I dont know....

Where do you get ammonia?

Amonia is the biproduct of fish "waste"
its potentionally poisonous to fish and high levels cause amonium nitrate poisoning, which causes redness and swolleness of the lips and eyes "like being burnt"
if anything your filter system should be breaking it down, if not, regular waterchanges should decrease the amount.
