my female platy is hiding in the plants and i seen her back tail is chewed!
is she beeing bullied by the 4 red eye tetras???there are no signs of ich or fin-rot!

i need to know cus i will be getting 3 more + 6-7 neon tetras
she doesn't look to well like this!

if the back tail is chewed it could possibly be another cause..maybe got caught in the filter.
Are there any more fish in there? I dont know much abou red eye tetras but it's odd for her to be picked on by a few tetras. Leave her be and see how she gets on but maybe if she gets worse (resting on bottom or looking worse) then you need to watch the tank VERY patiently in the distance and see if the tetras ARE attacking her, if they are, try moving her into a net breeder if you have one but make sure she does not get stressed out (bumping into the sides, not moving at all). okay i noticed when she is trying to rest inthe corner a tetra tries to nip at her , then she drops down into the plants and hides!
i have 4 of these red eye tetras and getting 3 more this sat to make it 7.

If you definitely know its the tetras I recommend moving her to a separate tank, or move her to a breeding device (e.g. net or trap) to isolate her. If you get a few more tetras as you plan to, they may calm down and you should be able to put her back into the tank after her tail has grown back.

yep, i just saw a tetra try to snip at her twice while she was trying to rest. her tail loooks so horrible she looks sick i'll move her into a breeder . do you think i should get anymore tetras??

As I said in my other post, it might be a good idea to get some more tetras to see if they calm down. (Like barbs do)

k i will do that. i also noticed that she has these dark round curcles in her upper part of her body within the inside, she never had these before.. is she ill??? i have her in her breeder

do you mean this if so it means she's pregnant

this fish is about to give birth because the black spot is big

They are talking about the tail, not her being pregnant.

Did you see the bit about dark circles inside her body? That could be gravid spot.

A photo of the platy would be very useful so we can see the marks and the damage to her tail.

no not her gravid spot i know what that is, she is not pregnant!
nvm i guess it was the lighting in the aquarium because i dont see it anymore.
i placed her in the breeder poor thing her tail is chewed up i hope they don't start attacking the other platies
