:*) My 80ltr tank temp started to rise towards 90o so i left the lid off and put in a airstonebut it still took over 7hrs to get down to an acceptable76o, i even done a cool water change to help, i was told i could put ice cubes in a bag and susspend it in the water, any other suggestions please

fill 2 coke bottles 2/3 full and freeze them.

place one at a time in the tank and it will bring the temp down slowly.
when one is thawed put the other in and refreeze the first.

dont put cold water in. if it drops too fast you'll stress the fish and can encourage whitespot.

also turn the heater right down (not off though incase you forget to turn it back on)

well over here it gets that warm too :) what i doo is i turn off the lights when it gets really hot 11-2, and also use the plastic bottles to cool the tank down :) there are DIY methods you can try if the previous methods dont work out :) im currently sketching up a rough design :) im gonna post it in the diy section and i hope i get some helpful tips :)
