I checked out the topic about heating a small aquarium but it seemed that none of the links were working. I was wondering if someone here could tell me what kind of heater to use in a 2.5 gal aquarium and where I could find one.

Thanks.

there is a small one at wallmart, cost about $10.00 for 2 to 5 us gal. only thing is its not adjustable, so use a quality theomomter, and if the temp is too high unplug it,, in the summer i dont use it cause the room temp makes it way too hot over 86, in the winter when the room temp is about 65 to 70 it stays a nice 76 to 78 :good: oh and if the tank is plastic make sure that the heater dosent touch the sides of the tank, ive never seen it happen but i have heard that it can melt the plastic.

I saw that one in Wal-Mart awhile back and wondered if it would be okay to use since it isn't adjustable. It's the only one I've seen so I may give it a try.
