hi guys
i have my heater in the middle at the back of my tank at a slight angle.
i would like to put it at one end of the tank & stand it straight up
is this ok or will it be cold at the other end of the tank? -_-

If u have a power filter circulating the water around it will be fine.

If u have no or little areation then it's a lot harder to cirulate thus resualting in cooler area's

You basically want your heater set so that the most water passes over it, thus heating the water evenly. Better still have 2 heaters, one at each end of the tank, you will get a nice even heat through the water.

I have my heater in the position you are describing and have no problems.

You shouldn't have any problems if your filter gives good water circulation in the tank.

Go ahead and give it a try, cardinal sinner. I'd recommend putting two thermometers in your tank, one at each end, so you can see if there is a temp gradient.
