Heater In My Aqaurium Help!

hi i have a 3ft long by 1ft fish tank and im pretty sure my heate rin the tank is not workingn properly, i have a spare 200w heater in my cupboard brand new would this be ok to ut in my tank or will it be too powerful any help would be great thanks

None are 'too powerful' unless they're ancient and don't have a thermostat.. as they'll only get to the temperature you have set, then turn off.

Test it first to make sure it turns on/off ok as you don't want to boil your fish if it's broken. Not without a portion of chips at hand anyway

lol,yeah its got a thermostat like, ill try it thanks am sure itl be ok cheers
