I went to my fish room today for the morning feeding and was very surprised when I saw that my convict tank was cloudy. This tank has been established for about 6 months and has had perfect water up until now. I checked the temperature and realized that it was off the thermometer! My heaters thermostat must have broken or something because the water was close to 90 F if not more (hard to estimate with a thermometer that goes higher than 86). Somehow the pair of pink convicts is still alive though and seemingly doing okay, though they seemed a little sluggish and stressed but thats understandable. These little fish must be tougher than I thought because the water was about warm enough for a good cup of coffee.

Most of summer (all 10 days of it  ) my one fishtank was hovering around the 90F mark. And when I lived in South Africa (where summer is approx 8 months long) my tank was at a constant 90 F and even more.

But if they fish aren't used it it, it's not good
