My entire setup was bought second hand from a guy from craigslist. Everything worked well, however, the heater was a tad finicky. Today it finally gave out. The current stock in my 30 gallon tank consists of

1 african dwarf frog
1 dojo loach
3 dalmation mollies
3 silver mollies
3 sword tails

And, unfortunately, I cannot afford a new one.. I was recently fired, and thankfully, have everything I could hope to need until I find a new job BESIDES a heater. Will they acclimate? The tank is currently at 75 degrees, it was about 80 3 hours ago. I believe they aren't supposed to go under 72, and on the other hand, I don't want to risk any bacterial out breaks.

My only other solution is to migrate them to my 20 gallon tank.. Which I believe is almost overstocked! It has

x5 red minor tetras
x1 Veiltail Male Betta (he is SUPER relaxed and not aggressive AT ALL)
x2 silver mollies
x2 sunburst platties
x4 orange platties.

Certainly I could not introduce my other load of fish into that tank..?

Will they all fit in the 30 gal? Can I even introduce them? Not to mention, the 20 gallon is planted and is my preferred tank.

they would for a short while till you get a heater put them in the 30 with everything you got

wont look great for a bit but they should servive that way for a bit then do

40% water changers every 4/5 days

they will be all be fine in the 30, just transfer the heater and filter from the 20 gal, then when you get a new heater (maybe see if anyone has one spare on here?) move them back, it will keep the filter cycled and shoudln't cause aany harm to the plants either :good:

Does anybody have a spare they don't use, that they wouldn't mind donating? I have a topic in the DIY boards..
