I spent yesterday moving my 55 gallon tank, from the back of the house into the front room.
Whilst transferring the water, then fish in to a spare tank. In the middle of moving the fish i heard a flapping as my 2" red-tailed shark made a bid for freedom, jumped out the tank and ended on the floor.
It was out the water for 10-15 seconds max, and was moving and jumping about. As soon as i picked it up and put it back in the tank, it stopped moving and died instantly - stone cold (i left it in the tank for about 10 minutes, to see if it moved - nothing.
I'm not sure what happened, could it have been shock or stress? I didnt think this could happen to that quick, as the water was the same as it just jumped out of!
Any thoughts?
