I just looked up at my new male crown tail, Rand, and he's dead!! He was fine an hour ago. No symptoms of any kind. No sores, labored breathing, no lathargy, no nothing. He was swimming and floating and was fine! What the he**! I need to know quick because 2 days ago he was in a divided 5 gal with my other new crown tail, and yesterday I put my wifes viel tail in with the not dead crown tail. I found something white and cotteny looking hanging off one of his gills tonight with I got home. They have been isolated and I'm getting ready to dose them both with pimafix and melafix. If anyone has input on this fast it would be GREATLY appreciated!

Could it be that the white, stringy substance in your other post kept him from breathing properly? :/

Oh, sorry. I thought you said there were two fish exhibiting those symptoms. :/

You sure some sort of chemical didn't get into the water?

Yea, no chemicals. His bowl is on the top shelf of my computer desk. I don't spray anything anywhere near the computer. I just shone a bright light on him a few minutes ago, and one of his eyes is white and cloudy, and that side of his face looks weird. I don't know how to explain it. It's just not right. :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:
