He Is Not A Morning Betta

i work very odd shifts and last week as a hard one 3-11 then 7-3 in the morning. my mom is nice enough to turn off my fish tanks at 10 so they don't have to stay up until i get home. when i get home however usally around 11:30 pm i have to turn the lights on. my fish are in my bedroom so i end up waking them up most of the time. of course there not usally happy about it, but normally once i go to bed i am out until late in the morning. well i got up at %;30 the next morning and as typical with fall it was too dark to see in my room so i had to again turn on the lights. leaving the tank lights out i peered in and jasper who had woken up with the light flickered on. i sware he looked at me and he was pissed that i woke him up that night and so early in the morning the next day, he looked me stright in the eye then flared at me. i told him he was a brat then headed off to work.

it is clear to me that jasper is not a morning fish, storm will get up with me too as well as the two ladies, they usally just do the feed me now dance, jasper has made it normal now to flare at me to let me know he is not happy about waking up.

awwwww bless. Kanuva goes down behind his moss ball when it's bedtime , usualy about 11 ish. Then i know it's time to turn everyones lights off.

I completed sympathise with Jasper......I flare at people who turn the lights on too early too :lol:

rayne will settle behind her filter or in her log. myst sleeps behind her heater. storm will also settle behind the intake on the filter, he gets quite pissed when the snail invades that corner. jasper has recently discovered his log but sort of floats around in the left corner of his tank to sleep.

hahaha. I'm with you on that.

I can't flare like a betta... but when my gf flips on the lights at 6:15am to drive to work some mornings I express my 'happiness' in other ways (read a certain finger popping up out of the covers). :lol:

Unfortunately almost all of my fish suffer my absurd college schedule of 2am or 3am nights followed sometimes by 8am mornings. I think I've turned them all nocturnal :shifty:

I'm not a morning person either and not really quite sure what i'm doing up at this time!!!!!! Most of fish apart from babies are still asleep

ooooooooops sorry about the pic size,,,,didn't realise it was so big....seeeeeeee me and mornings don't go together,in the evening i'd of noticed before posting. Waits for a day of disasters.... :rofl:
