My 27 gallon tank which has been set up for about 6 weeks has started to look hazy, before it has been crisp clear water, the water tests fine, can anyone tell me why and what I can do to make the water clear again?

I have - 5 platies, 6 glowlight tetras, 5 five banded barbs, 2 red honey gouramis, 1 panda cory, 1 peppered cory, 1 bronze cory and one bristlenose.

I'm no expert but my newly set up tank went cloudy after a while and I was told (on this forum) that this is quite normal and will clear up its self in time. It could be a harmless bacteria bloom. Mine cleared within a week, and is now crystal clear.

Over feeding, when did you last add some new filter floss, have you been feeding any frozen foods.

Thanks, I think I have been over feeding because now i have an ammonia spike of 0.25, I have not fed them for a day now and my lfs has said to feed them only small amounts alternate days - also there is lots of pooh laying around in the tank even though I have done water changes and hoovered the substrate for the past three days!
I havent fed any frozen foods yet although i did buy some at the weekend, and i havent changed anything in the filter, its only 6 weeks old.
