Having A Few Problems

been a while but having a few problems

our bumble bee catfish was swimming away quite happily then he sat at the bottom of the tank and just stopped breathing then one of our female bettas has clamped fins and a white mouth we added 8 new neon tetras at the weekend now 7 of which have died


oh ive just watched the betta swim erratically then jump out the water and hit the condensation tray then fall quickly to the bottom of the tank then swim erratically back to the tankthen fall back down and then when anpother fish comes anywhere near her she swims quickly up to the surface then the other female fighter chases the other fish away

please can you help

oh and all the water stats are fine!

Where did the neons come from?

from one of our normal fish shops, we will only use one of two and we have never had bad fish from either of them before

How often do you do water changes?
How long has your tank been setup?
How long have you had the betta and catfish?

Is it possible to have any PH flutuations in your tank? Do you test PH?

What size is your tank and what is the stocking like in it?

well theres not many fish left at all now

its a 3x2x1.5 had tank well over 5months all water stats are spot on even the pH had the fighters 4.5 months and the cat for a little under 2months

Have you added anything new besides the neon tetras lately?
Have you had and new decor added? or chemicals?

Water changes? how often?

sorry weekly changes roughly 20 - 25 %

no other new fish other than tetras

It's a long shot, but worth considering; is it an open top tank?. If so, do you use air fresheners or aerosols in the same room?.

What was the ph of the lfs tank to yours.
How long did you climatise them for.
The neons did they go pale in the red stripe area.
The white on the mouth sounds like mouth fungus flexibactor columnaris.

dont know about the pH at lfsbut climatised them properlya bit of water every 15mins or so its not an open tank

we have lost all the tetras now and a clown loach and the other female fighter
