Getting old, but nowhere near knackered, i just lo
ive got an external fluval 350 on my tank
ive got a large shoal (9 cories,all about 2"-3") that shoal to perfection and syncronise swimming is their party trick, that is until 2 days ago now they are split into 2 groups and wont shoal as normal.
anyway they were all riding the outflow and trying their hardest to be the one in front. this way going on for about 30mins and was such a joy to watch.
ive got an armoured catfish who is 5" long who keeps himself to hisself, he was pottering around behind the outflow but his tail got into the flow and he was trying to swim away but it caught him and threw him into the shoal of cories who went flying in all directions like skittles.
the conclusion to this is when the cories get to close to the armoured cat they freak and leg it, the shoal has split into 2 and they wont go anywhere near the outflow, which ive turned down now to reduce any unwanted collisions, its a shame cause like i said it was great to watch them shoal and ride the flow.
