Not a full blown emergency (I hope) , but a few of my mollies are doing a stange thing, they are going to the bottom of the tank, turning on their side and sort of rubbing there body along the sand substrate. I have also just seen one of my ballooon mollies doing it to a piece of bogwood.

I have never seen this before and dont really know how fish behave with ich, so really not sure if this is what im looking at?

It started last night with a couple of the silver mollies but as I said the balloon molly is also doing it now on the bogwood. I have tested my water and all are fine, 0 for ammonia & nitrite, nitrate is 20ppm and my ph is 7.6. I test my water every other day and not had any spikes.

I have got medicine here for ich but just making sure before I medicate them with it.

this is known as flashing. something is irritating them causing them to scratch themselves on the substrate or decor. if you cant see any small white grains on the fish then dont treat for ich as it may not be this. it could be gill flukes or a number of things but without confirming what it is the dont treat just incase.
i would do a 50% water change and give the gravel/sand a good vac as if it is ich or free swimming bugs then they will be in the substrate and water so best to get as many out as poss.
if it does turn out to be ich then sometimes plenty of water changes and an increase in temp (30oC) for a few days can rid it without treating with meds.
