Hello there!
I have a Roma 90 fish tank, 90litres (24gal)
Currently I have

5 Albino Corrys
5 Male Guppies
10 flame Tetra's
1 Male fighter

My fighter has no problems with my guppies, luckily.
My tank just seems a bit empty, I have pictures in another topic with a picture of my tank, I have a ship taking up most of the bottom with lots of artifical plants.
My fighter spends most of the time hiding away, the corrys are busy hoovering the floor, my flame tetras shool at the bottom of my tank where the current is weakest and my guppies just swim around.
So I was thinking of adding some neon or cardinal tetra's, i know the general rule on stocking with inch per gallon but IMO my tank would be okay to have 6 neon/cardinal tetras, i hear they have to be in at least 6s, just to add colour and make it seem fuller.

What do you guys think?
Would it make my tank too crowded?

Thanks very much !!

funny thing i just purchased 7 cardinals today. how long has your tank been running. and i would start with neons.

I've had my tank maybe 6 weeks now? Ive gradually built it up with fishless cycle, then a few guppies, then the rest then flames then corrys and put the fighter in couple of days ago.

So you think neons would be better than cardinals?

Yeah I don't think it would matter how hardy they are because my water and tank should be fine, I'm just thinking space wise- would they be okay and not too crowded?

Yeah i have one from last week, putting some new ones on soon, pic below

The heater has been moved and i not have plain gravel, looks very nice imo

go for it definitly. i would get 6 cardinal and 5 or 6 cherry barbs if you want some color. i like the guppies.

Thanks for the advice buddy, not too keen on barbs, heard they tend not to get on with guppys and fighter that i have!

Would you go for neon or cardinal?
And how many? would 6 be enough?

Thanks again matey!

personally i like cardinals but they are alot more expensive than neons. and i just have seven so it should be enough.

Cheers Clay, I'll leave it a week for the other fish to settle then stick 6 cardinal or neons in, whatever my local petshop has and looks best :)

I'd say you're fairly well stocked as it is, using the 1 inch of fish per gallon rule.

A 90l tank after substrate and decor is about 20USG. I'm guessing a size of 1 inch per fish and 2 for the fighter. Puts you on the limit for that rule of thumb.

It is only a rule of thumb, and you can see far more densely stocked tanks than that with everything alive, but it is there as a good guide.
