Woke up this morning to see my new cichlid (apistogramma cacatuiode) sitting at the bottom of the tank on its side gasping for breathe. Went home at lunch to check on it/scoop it out and it's still alive trying to swim but with its head right and flipping around everywhere but within a couple of seconds it was back down on the gravel but I did notice thats shes got bulging eyes which look almost red - no other markings on her.

I have carried out a 40% water change using Seachem Prime and did a light swish in the tank water with filters and media on my lunch break. All other fish seem fine swimming about under the stream of freshwater as it went in... have I got a disease from the new fish? Is it stress as this particular fish has been hiding aware since bringing her home? Or is it the Tetra General Tonic I put in with the new fish
Any ideas!?
