Have I Been Ripped Off?

so this morning my tropica plant substrate came, i open the box to reveal a 5L bag of TPS.

the bag is just over a third filled and the rest is air, is this normal? because it seems to good to be true.

I am sure you will have still gotten 5L, but Andy will be able to confirm.

I'd take a photo before you open the bag, as proof that it was that empty already when it arrived, if it doesn't come to 5 litres.

no its all there its just been severly compacted in the post, so i have more of a slab, but ive fluffed it up and it fills the bag now

These bags always look smaller when they arrive. I think people are expecting a garden growbag size. lol

if you ever wanted any spares then Aqua Essentials sell them (empty). I always save mine, handy for putting anything in such as dechlorinators, medication, although i now use some graduated pippette's for measuring as they are more accurate.

what i plan to do is fill the little cup at the top up and then use a syringe(that holds 1 ml) to dose 2 ml a day or should i go every second day? (bearing in mind i might start of bi-daily as my plant levels will be low to start with then ill stock it up to high over a few weeks.
